Golf Course Update

Although we have been closed since Christmas and will continue to be for the immediate future due to Government guidelines, this does not mean we haven’t been extremely busy on the golf course keeping it in pristine condition for your return.

Working behind the scenes, the greenkeepers and our golf course Superintendent had to initially postpone the planned works for the Greens due to the bad frosts and frozen ground. However, the team kept going and ploughed ahead with other tasks including the sodding of worn high traffic areas around greens, tees and pathways, refacing grass bunkers and crown lifting of trees.

The team has also hollow-cored the greens and tees which will allow air and water movement through the profile. They will be sanding these over the next week in order to return to smooth and firm surfaces which will allow for better putting through the season.

So, rest assured there is plenty of TLC ongoing and we hope to see you back on the course very soon.
