Cycling at Luttrellstown Castle Resort

Exercise has never been so enjoyable

Cycling is one of the fastest-growing activities in Ireland and at Luttrellstown Castle Resort, it’s also one of the best ways to see the best elements of our sprawling 567-acre estate. We can provide enough bikes and safety-gear so that everyone can get out in the great Irish air and enjoy all the incredible sights on offer around our picturesque private estate.

Saddle up and set out past our stunning 15th century Irish castle with their historic Tower Castles - the estate’s oldest structures, which date back to 1429. From there, you can whizz past our wonderful walled garden with its beautiful rose display, apple orchard and arboretum. The sites really begin to stack up when you set out down towards the glen, through which runs Dublin’s famous River Liffey. Not only does our 20-acre Liffey-fed lake provide a breath-taking sight with its vintage boat house, time-worn Doric Temple and enchanting waterfall, it makes the perfect place to stop and enjoy the scenery as park your bike for a brief rest.

When you’ve seen everything and worked up an appetite, why not finish up at The Clubhouse at Luttrellstown Castle Resort and end your adventure with a well-earned drink in The Spike Bar or a delicious meal in Rugged Lane Restaurant.
