Supporting The Alzheimer Society of Ireland
We’re a proud supporter of these incredible people
Incredibly, even in a country as small as Ireland, 11 people are diagnosed with dementia every single day. What’s more, 4,066 people with dementia are under the age of 65. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland are the national leader in providing much-needed dementia-focused supports and services right across the country.
This phenomenal network of 120 specialist services provide almost 900,000 hours of community-based, dementia-specific care each year. Unfortunately, they must raise €3.3million throughout 2020, in order to maintain the high level of support they provide. And with the number of people suffering with dementia expected to double in the next 20 years and treble in the next 35, this amount may even rise in 2021.
Each year, Luttrellstown Castle Resort selects a charity to promote and support. Everyone here at the resort are honoured to be able to help The Alzheimer Society of Ireland for 2020. We’re asking visitors to this site and guests of our magnificent castle to donate any time, money or energy they have to spare, to this brilliant bunch of people. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.
