Luttrellstown Castle Resort Wins Again at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2024

Honoured for the second year running, Luttrellstown Castle was announced as Europe's Leading Luxury Wedding Resort 2024 at last night’s World Travel Awards European Gala Ceremony in Berlin.

Celebrating travel excellence since 1993, the World Travel Awards serve to acknowledge and reward best in class across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry and is regarded as the travel industry’s leading awards.

The awards ceremony took place on March 6th in Berlin and was attended by our CEO, Ivan King along with our Estate Manager, Paddy Smith, who has been involved in Luttrellstown for over 40 years having worked with Aileen Plunkett in the late 1970's, with Mr Didier Primat who owned Luttrellstown through the 1980's and 1990's and now during the current ownership.

But even before Paddy worked at Luttrellstown, he was on the estate as a kid enjoying the wildlife, fishing and searching for bird nests.

According to Ivan King, Luttrellstown Castle Resort CEO; “It’s absolutely fantastic for the whole team to be winners of this award for the second year.  To have Paddy involved in accepting this accolade is the icing on the cake. He’s witnessed so many positive changes over the last 40 years at Luttrellstown and we as a team will continue to push forward and maintain the high standards we are celebrated for.” 

Estate Manager Paddy Smith continued; “I was a young boy playing on the grounds of Luttrellstown and started working for Aileen Plunkett in 1970's and it is a great honour to still be involved after 40 years and to be a part of what is such a special place.  I’m delighted that it’s been recognised again for just how exceptional it is.”
