Ireland Goes Green

Ireland Goes Green to Support the Tourism and Hospitality Industry

On Thursday 8th October, Luttrellstown Castle joined many other iconic tourism locations throughout the country to Go Green. We lit up our gorgeous Castle to show solidarity to everyone in this vital industry.

In 2020, Ireland suffered a loss of €800m in international visitor revenue and inbound operators have lost up to 95% of their business.

In order to show solidarity to everyone in this important business sector, some of our tourism governing bodies came together to highlight the role inbound operators deliver and launched a social media campaign #IrelandGoesGreen acknowledging the importance of tourism to the economy and all those employed in it.

We are very proud to be a part of this campaign which really captured the spirit of being ‘in this together’.
