Luttrellstown Golf Course Update

What a wonderful Autumn season of golf it has been! It’s been a relatively dry winter so far and nearly all the leaves are down and collected which is great news for all our members.

It’s a collective effort from the greenkeeping team to keep the course clean from leaves through the main golfing corridor and we are very happy with the results.

The team also completed all fairway and rough aeration ahead of schedule and took it to a new level as they came in at 4am to start our programme and got this done without any delay or inconvenience to our golfers. Thanks to you all!

The playing surfaces have benefited from our hand mowing only programme on the greens during winter. This lessens the wear and tear on the green and produces greater playing surfaces and higher presentation levels. All bunkers have had sand added to required levels and we will be resodding any worn out faces in the next few weeks. We will also be introducing divot bags very soon and we ask all members to avail of these bags in the golf shop.

Lastly, we would ask all golfers to repair their pitch-marks and rake the bunkers after use. This is for the greater playability of the course for everyone.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our members a very Happy 2022 and we look forward to a great golfing year ahead.
