‘Romantic Cities of the World’

Valentine’s Afternoon Tea

Luttrellstown Castle is often referred to as one of Ireland’s most romantic castles and for its Valentine’s Afternoon Tea this year, the wonderful delights and tastes of one of the most romantic cities in the world will come to life for an unforgettable Valentine’s experience.

Rome, the city of love and where Saint Valentine, the patron saint of lovers, was born in the 3rd Century will inspire this delightful tea menu beautifully curated by Pastry Chef, Robert Sarowski.

Seeped in history and romance, Luttrellstown Castle is the perfect place to immerse yourself in your very own romantic story and enjoy this most special Afternoon Tea, inspired by the Eternal City.

Enjoy delicious savoury bites including Slow Cooked Beef, Horseradish Sauce on Bloomer Bread, Goats Cheese Mousse, with Lovage Herbs and Pomegranate on Multi Seed Bread, Smoked Salmon with Beetroot and Saffron Fennel in a Basil Basket and Quail Egg Mayo with Chives on a Brioche Bun.

Slowly savour Warm Almond Cake and Home-Made Scones with Wexford Strawberry Jam and Clotted Cream.  And make sure to save some room for the delicious Italian inspired sweet-treats that will make this Afternoon Tea so memorable – indulge in Traditional Tiramisu with Amaretto Biscuit, Ricotta Strawberry Cheesecake, Dark Chocolate and Ruby Mousse Tartlets and Rose and Mascarpone Love Hearts.

This year, our Rome Inspired Valentine’s Afternoon Tea will be served in the Van Stry Ballroom for you and your loved one to celebrate at two sittings – 1pm and 4pm on the 10th, 11th and 12th February 2023.
