Intimate Irish Castle Weddings

How Intimate Weddings are the way forward as small makes it so much more special

We all know that Covid changed the wedding industry entirely forcing couples to either cancel, postpone or completely rearrange the wedding day they had planned. Anyone organising a wedding in 2020 will have felt the very real effects of Covid.

But for us here at Luttrellstown Castle, we’ve always been hugely popular for luxurious, intimate weddings and our experience will allow us to look after 45 of your dearest family and friends with the attention, care and 5-star service you all deserve.

You’ll have our stunning 15th Century Castle all to yourself as it is only available on exclusive hire which means there will be no one else at the Castle apart from your own wedding party. You will have unrestricted access to our private and picturesque grounds, accommodation in our 20 bespoke suites and exclusive access to the Kentian Room and our breath-taking Van Stry Ballroom.

You also have the option to host your ceremony outside on the manicured lawns surrounded by beautiful views of the castle and the estate and if you’d like to continue the outside theme into the evening, we also have a selection of magnificent marquees for hire.

We can basically tailor your wedding to whatever you want!

For the foreseeable future, indoor weddings and events will need to have limited numbers but we believe there are so many benefits to enjoying a smaller wedding with your core group of family and besties. Intimate weddings can feel a lot more relaxed and you can focus all your energy on the very special people in your life. Sometimes, bigger weddings can feel more like an event, whereas small weddings are more like a fun dinner party with friends.

And with fewer guests, your budget can stretch a bit further and you can splurge on things that you might not have been able to go to town on like flowers, settings and videography or you can really pamper your guests with gorgeous favours, top class entertainment and a super post wedding day celebration making for a truly memorable experience for everyone.

Of course there are some negatives to hosting a small, micro wedding and that’s the friends and family who don’t make the guest list or who had to be cut from the original invite list which can be a bit awkward but bear in mind, in these Covid times, people are very understanding and know how difficult the situation is for you.

James and Sarah hosted an intimate wedding at Luttrellstown with just 25 guests and it was the most perfect day of their lives.

"Luttrellstown Castle started off as a distant dream and was transformed into the most perfect day of our lives. Our nearest and dearest were looked after so well, the day will be a magical memory etched in our hearts forever."

And, as Sarah says, “Relax, breathe it will be what it will be and you will never get this time again so take it all in.”
