International Women’s Day Breakfast with Guest Speaker Katie Doyle

We are looking forward to celebrating International Women’s Day with a Breakfast Seminar at the Castle on Tuesday March 8th.

International Women’s Day is a global call to arms to tackle discrimination, celebrate our differences and forge an equal future for all women and this year’s theme is #breakthebias.  Our guest speaker for the event is Katie Doyle, the founder of Mentor Her, the programme that supports women through connection.

International Women’s Day is not only a celebration of the achievements made by women throughout history by appreciating their successful work across social, economic, cultural and political sectors but it represents the continued fight for equality, to eliminate discrimination and bias between genders.

For her #breakthebias presentation, Katie will be addressing key points including how to notice unconscious bias so that we can have a healthy equality in the workplace, what the definition is of good leadership and what women bring to the table in comparison to their male counterparts, how to support women to be mothers and have professional success and how we can change the preconception that women need to dress like men in order to lead a team.

We will be hosting a delightful continental breakfast in our Van Stry ballroom with meats & cheeses, juices and smoothies and delicious fresh pastries. Whilst you enjoy breakfast, you can sit back and listen to Katie’s excellent presentation. This promises to be a very entertaining breakfast and a lovely, inspirational way to start the week.

We can all help to create a gender-equal world – challenge stereotypes, broaden perceptions and celebrate women’s achievements.  Let's all #breakthebias #iwd2022

Members, members guests and anyone who would like to come along are all welcome and it will be on a first come first served basis.
