Golf Course Summer Update
As we head further into the summer months, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we get some spells of good weather.
Our seasonal greenkeeping team have started for the season ahead and they are working on divoting the fairways and we are seeing the results already. We continue to top-dress the greens on a ten-day basis as this helps with keeping the greens firm.
We recently undertook a test area on the 12th fairway where we stripped off the top layer of the turf down to the drainage gravel bands, re-sanded it and seeded it with fine leaf grasses that need less water to perform. We have also introduced tighter playing surfaces around the greens to add shot choice and value to the course.
Our landscaping plan is in full swing with an addition of an L bed behind the 18th green and the carpark and lodge are receiving a facelift with new beds, flowers and shrubbery all being added.
