Golf Course Spring Update

As we head further into Spring and the lovely weather makes a welcome return, we wanted to give you an update regarding the golf course maintenance and continued investment in advance of the clubhouses and golf courses opening on the 26th April.

We have been extremely busy working behind the scenes to keep the course in tip top condition.  Recently, we received delivery of the new John Deere 2750 greens mower from Dublin Grass Machinery. Using the latest in technology, this mower saves up to 30% fuel making it much better for the environment and it has superb contour following units which will give an excellent quality of cut on our greens at Luttrellstown Castle Resort.

We also invested in a new rotary mower which will cut 25% more efficiently and should give us a more controlled height of rough. The Jacobsen HR 700 which we recently purchased from Broderick’s Grass Machinery, will allow our greenkeeping team to present and maintain the rough on the golf course to a higher standard.

Later in April will be taking delivery of two Toro 5610 fairway mowers. These machines are a high specification, fantastic quality of cut that will allow our greenkeeping team to present our fairways to an excellent finish.

So, rest assured there is plenty of TLC ongoing and the course at Luttrellstown will go from strength to strength maintaining its five-star golf course presentation.

Keep an eye on social media and the website for further Golf Course, Clubhouse and Castle updates. Hold firm, we are nearly there.
