Alzheimer’s Memory Walk

Make every step count and help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland by taking part in their fundraising event – Memory Walk. As our charity partner, we are hosting a walk here at the Castle at 1pm on Sunday September 19^th where you can come along with friends and family and enjoy a walk of the Castle Estate led by our Estate Manager, Paddy. The walk is approx. 6k and will start at the Castle carpark and head towards the Glen and back. We will offer refreshments after the walk.

This is the second successive Memory Walk and the Alzheimer Society are hoping to raise €250,000 for vital services that are helping to support so many people with dementia across Ireland through the COVID-19 public health emergency and the aftermath of the lockdown.  In Ireland, there are 64,000 people living with dementia, their families and carers who are also affected so let’s do our best to raise as many funds as possible!
