The Beckham Wedding
A Very special honour for a very special place
On the 4th of July 1999, the world’s press descended on the heavily-guarded gates of Luttrellstown Castle Resort in Dublin, Ireland. They watched as the biggest names in showbiz passed through the famous gates of this historic Irish castle. The press, the celebrities and the hundreds of locals trying to catch a glimpse of every occupant of each blacked-out car, were there to see the wedding of Manchester United footballer David Beckham and his beautiful bride, Spice Girl Victoria Adams.
David and Victoria Beckham were beloved 90s style icons and sweethearts of Britain’s celebrity scene. As big fans of Dublin, ‘Posh and Becks’ chose the luxurious surroundings of Luttrellstown Castle Resort for their world-famous wedding. We were more than happy to oblige and ready to put on a truly spectacular celebration. From pixie-haircuts and purple outfits, to over-sized thrones and a £30,000 tiara, the couple spared no expense and our dedicated team spared nothing to bring it all together for them.
David and Victoria Beckham’s iconic wedding in Luttrellstown Castle Resort made headlines across the globe. Highlights from the day included the Robin Hood theme; the selection of a colour scheme that included burgundy, dark green and, most famously, cardinal purple; a Vera Wang wedding dress and matching Vera Wang shoes; a diamond and gold tiara by Irish designer Slim Barrett; a corset by English corsetiere Mr Pearl; a petticoat containing 50 metres of Clerici Duchess satin; a 'Jessica Rabbit' evening dress; David Beckham’s purple suede Manolo shoes; and a risqué after-dinner speech by best man and Manchester United legend, Gary Neville.
