The Estate

A reward for the curious

A magnificent 15th century Irish castle deserves a demesne of equal splendour. Luttrellstown Castle Resort sits on 567 acres of lush private parkland. This immense walled estate contains 300 species of trees and plants; an 18-hole championship golf course; a state-of-the-art 3-storey clubhouse; a scenic 20-acre lake, and of course, a celebrated 600-year-old Irish castle, offered for hire on an exclusive basis.

Such is its size, that it is easy to spend many the tranquil hour exploring the estate and its unforgettable features. You can start out from the historic Tower Castles, these are the estate’s oldest structures, which date back to 1429, when King Henry IV offered a grant of £10 to landowners to build fortified houses. From there, you can stroll through our wonderful walled garden with its beautiful rose display, apple orchard and arboretum.

The sites really begin to stack up when you set out down towards the glen, through which runs Dublin’s famous River Liffey. Not only does our 20-acre Liffey-fed lake provide a breath-taking sight with its vintage boat house and enchanting waterfall, it's also the perfect spot for some angling or boating.

When you’ve worked up a worthy appetite, why not finish up at The Clubhouse at Castle Resort. End your adventure with a well-earned drink in the bar or a delicious meal in the restaurant. Then, return to your luxurious room, to reenergise yourself and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
